Railroad stops passenger trains between Seattle and Portland until March 15 at 2:30 p.m.

A landslide south of Centralia brought down eight trees and mud onto the tracks instigating BNSF to implement a 48-hour moratorium for passenger rail trains. Trains north of Seattle and south of Portland are all running normally. Amtrak has secured replacement buses for northbound trains out of Portland, and some from Seattle. Amtrak is still trying to find more buses for southbound travel out of Seattle for this evening and the weekend. We apologize for any inconvenience.
