Amtrak Cascades is honored to team up once again with the Portland Rose Festival as its official railway partner. Together, we're making it easier for visitors from across the region to enjoy parades, concerts, and waterfront fun—without the stress of driving and parking. Take Amtrak Cascades and arrive ready to celebrate this year's "Imagine Magic" parade theme.

Make the most of your festival experience and go by train! The Magic begins onboard with Amtrak Cascades, providing easy travel options to other great Oregon cities, including Oregon City, Albany, Salem, and Eugene. Leave the car at home and forget the hassle of traffic, gas prices, and parking. Amtrak Cascades has daily departures between Eugene, Salem, Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver BC, making exploring Oregon easier than ever.

The Portland Rose Festival

The Portland Rose Festival has inspired the public to gather and celebrate against a backdrop of historic external forces for 118 years, demonstrating how our community can carry on traditions and celebrate unity.

Portland's Official Festival invites you to participate in the Grand Floral Parade, Starlight Parade, Junior Parade, Queen’s Coronation, CityFair and Fleet Week. Now and always, we welcome all Portlanders and visitors alike to celebrate our floral heritage and community spirit. CityFair offers carnival rides, food, beer, live music.

Take the POINT bus

The POINT is an intercity bus service in Oregon. This ODOT-managed bus service has four routes operating across the state, including its Portland-Eugene route in the beautiful Willamette Valley. The POINT bus offers several daily trips that help fill in the gaps in train service, and it stops in a few more places, too.

The POINT bus service offers three more routes across the state so you can make connections with Amtrak and other providers to the north coast, across southern Oregon from Klamath Falls to Brookings, and in central Oregon from Bend to Ontario. The service operates 365 days a year and is a safe, comfortable and environmentally friendly alternative to long-distance driving in Oregon.
