Children 2-12 may receive a 50% discount on the lowest available adult rail fare on most Amtrak Cascades trains. Other restrictions may apply.

Limitations

• Children must travel with an adult passenger who is at least 18 years old
• Children traveling alone are not entitled to a children's discount
• Does not apply to Business Class
• Not valid for travel on certain Amtrak Thruway connecting services.

Infants (under age 2) (first child free)

One child under the age of two may ride free with each adult ticket purchased. Infants are not entitled to a seat. Additional children under age two are permitted with each adult traveler at a 50% discount. Other restrictions may apply. If any additional child per adult will be traveling, reservations must be made for that child as an "Adult" and the full adult fare will be charged.

Seniors (10% off fare)

Amtrak Cascades travelers 65 years of age and over are eligible to receive a 10% discount on the lowest available rail fare on Amtrak Cascades. On cross-border services operated jointly by Amtrak and VIA Rail Canada, a 10% Senior discount is applicable to travelers aged 60 and over.

Passengers with mobility disabilities (10% off fare)

Amtrak Cascades offers a 10% fare discount to passengers with mobility challenges and to their adult companions of age 18 years or older. Please request the discount when making reservations. This discount cannot be combined with other available discounts except the child's fare. Read our accessibility guide for more information.

Transit system ID card for persons with a disability Membership card from a disability organization Letter from a physician Medicare card, if under 65 Veteran's Administration ID with "Service Connected" Disabled/Accessible parking placard issued by a state Department of Motor Vehicle (photocopy is acceptable)

Seattle metro area transit users

Amtrak Cascades and Sound Transit have teamed up to offer more rail travel options between Everett, Edmonds and Seattle. Military personnel save 10% and jump the ticket line

With valid active-duty United States Armed Forces identification cards, active-duty US military personnel, their spouses and their dependents are eligible to receive a 10% discount on the lowest available rail fare on most Amtrak trains, including for travel on the Auto Train. Just use the Fare Finder at the beginning of your search on amtrak.com and select 'Military' for each passenger as appropriate to receive the discount.

Additionally, Amtrak supports and thanks our troops by welcoming the uniformed military personnel to the head of the ticket line.

Discount Limitations

• The military discount is not valid with Saver Fares.
• The military discount does not apply to non-Acela Business class, First class or sleeping accommodation. These upgrades are permitted upon payment of the full accommodation charges.
• The military discount is not valid for travel on certain Amtrak Thruway connecting services.
• The military discount is not valid on the Canadian portion of services operated jointly by Amtrak and VIA Rail Canada.
