Summer in the PNW means as much time outdoors as we can get! What better way to enjoy the season than with community, good food, rides, music and outdoor celebrations. Here are some of our favorite events, many within walking distance of our train stations.

From our train stations, there are plenty of last mile options to get you to your destination, allowing you to explore even more of Oregon and find those hidden gems.

PORTLAND PRIDE WATERFRONT FESTIVAL & PARADE

Tom McCall Waterfront Park, Portland

June 18, 2026, 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. and June 19, 2026, 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Every summer, Portland Pride adds color and energy to the city with a weekend of community and entertainment. The festival at Waterfront Park features live performances, local vendors, food and activities. The parade begins at 11 a.m. on Sunday at the North Park Blocks and ends at the festival, bringing vibrant floats and supporters through downtown Portland. JUNETEENTH OREGON FESTIVAL & PARADE

Lillis-Albina Park, Portland

June 20, 2026, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Millions of people across America join the African American community in celebrating Juneteenth. In Portland, the day is honored with “The Clara Peoples Freedom Trail Parade'' down Martin Luther King Blvd and a public festival at Lillis-Albina Park on N. Russell and N. Flint. The festival will have guest speakers, stage performers, live music entertainment, vendors, exhibits and children’s activities. For more information, visit juneteenthor.com.

ZOONIGHTS

Oregon Zoo, Portland

Fridays from June 19 to August 21, 2026, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Over the course of 10 Fridays from June to August, the Oregon Zoo hosts local music, food carts, activities for all ages and the chance to get to know some of the animals active during twilight hours. Food and snacks from local food trucks will be available, plus the ever-popular elephant ears and selection of local beer and wine for adults. Every ticket purchased helps the Oregon Zoo connect our community to the wonder of wildlife to create a better future for all. OREGON RENAISSANCE FAIRE

Clackamas County Fairgrounds, Canby

Weekends June 6 to June 28, 2026, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Oregon Renaissance Faire brings a touch of fantasy and adventure to the summer season with themed performances, artisan vendors, costumes and classic fair food. Visitors can explore a lively village filled with live entertainment, interactive experiences and medieval-inspired fun for all ages. TIGARD FESTIVAL OF BALLOONS

Cook Family Park, Tigard

June 26 to June 28, 2026, 5:45 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Head to the Tualatin Valley for a spectacular sight, as about 20 hot-air balloons launch in the pre-dawn hours (weather and pilot permitting). Bring the family for afternoon shopping at craft and vendor booths, food from local vendors, carnival rides and games, as well as a night-time event and beer garden. OREGON BACH FESTIVAL

Downtown Eugene

June 27 to July 12, 2026

Need a night indoors? The annual Grammy Award-winning Oregon Bach Festival offers daily music events and runs for two weeks every summer. International musicians and vocalists perform legendary orchestral and vocal concerts at the Hult Center, UO's Beall Concert Hall, and other venues across Eugene and Oregon. Enjoy a broad range of diversity in musical selections, workshops, seminars, educational opportunities and free community events. OREGON COUNTRY FAIR

Veneta

July 10 to July 12, 2026, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Oregon Country Fair is a longtime summer tradition known for its art, music, handmade crafts and free-spirited atmosphere. Set among wooded paths and outdoor stages near Eugene, the event features live performances, local food vendors, artisan booths and interactive experiences throughout the fairgrounds. LANE COUNTY FAIR

Eugene

July 23 to July 26, 2026, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Excellent family fun, concerts, carnival rides, games and entertainment. All types of carnival rides will be at the fair, including a large Ferris Wheel to give you a bird's eye view of the fairgrounds and Eugene. Enjoy favorite food vendors with classic fair fare such as elephant ears, cotton candy, barbecue and so much ice cream. SALEM SATURDAY MARKET
