Amtrak and the rail divisions of the Oregon and Washington transportation departments have scheduled public walk-throughs of the new Amtrak Cascades trainsets in Portland, OR, and Seattle, WA on Sunday, Sept. 27.

The trains will debut in revenue service the following Wednesday, Sept. 30.

To minimize crowding and wait times, sign-up links have been established where prospective attendees indicate the half-hour window when they plan to attend. Amtrak personnel will lead small groups through the equipment, with an assist from ODOT and WSDOT volunteers. A limited number of spaces are available on Sunday, September 27 for public tours of the new trains before they go into service. Sign up now to reserve your tour. Each person must register separately.
